What interests you about the War of 1812?
Descenant Veteran off Brock's Regiment 49th of Foot , 1st Battalion Royal Berkshire Regiment . completed basic training at Brock Barracks , Reading , Berkshire. UK.back in 1956/59 .

Interesting tidbit about General Brock. My daughter is participating in an "Encampment" in Toronto commemorating the war of 1812 and is researching stories to represent in the tents. It begins June 8 and runs for three weeks. She is off to the archives for information...

My husband has his framed, signed copy of the "Flames Across the Border" map 1813-1814 displayed in our kitchen....Perhaps I will actually read Pierre Burton's books this year...
