On Feb. 22, 1813, Lt. Col. Red George Macdonnell and the Glengarry Light Infantry Fencibles crossed the frozen St. Lawrence River to defeat their American rivals, the First U.S. Rifle Regiment.The battle will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday on Lighthouse Point, directly across the St. Lawrence River from the Prescott waterfront.
