I was pleased to receive confirmation that my 1812 musical, 'Traders on the Border' will be performed in Oswego NY on July 27, 28, 29. The play is a comedy-drama-musical set in Niagara UC at the onset of the war. I'm still waiting to hear if funding for producing the same play in Niagara-on-the-Lake this summer has been approved. Theatre anyone?
I started writing plays set against a backdrop of the War of 1812 a few years ago and now have completed five. Unfortunately, I've only been able to workshop the first one "Traders on the Border" (a musical) which is scheduled to be performed in Oswego NY and Niagara-on-the-Lake this summer. I'm looking to have the others workshopped and performed as well. A synopsis of each as well as excerpts and lyrics to songs are included on my website.
