Doran Bay Model Ship Museum opened its door to public on September 09, 2011. The Museum displays one of the finest private collections of historic model ships in the World. Each model ship in the collection has been built to exacting specifications from original plans using exotic woods.
The collection traces the history of sail around the world with special emphasis on Canadian and American ships. To help celebrate the 200th anniversary of the War of 1812, a unique collection of American and British/Canadian warships from the War of 1812 is on display.
Our ‘world class’ collection of historic model ships is displayed in a beautifully restored period home overlooking the St. Lawrence River and Iroquois Seaway Lock. The museum is located at 11128 County Rd 2, Iroquois Ontario Canada KOC1K0. We are located only 2 kms east of the town of Iroquois Ontario on the scenic and historic highway #2. We are conveniently located only 5 minutes off the Iroquois 730 interchange on highway 401. We are only 20 minutes from Fort Wellington in Prescott, 5 minutes from Upper Canada Playhouse and 10 minutes drive from Upper Canada Village.
The Museum’s entrance and washroom is handicap accessible. We are open from April to November, 10 am to 5pm from Monday-Sunday. Most visitors require 1-1.5 hours to walk through the collection. Guided tours are available. Our entrance fees are $10 for adults, $8 for seniors and $6 for students under 16 years of age. Group rates are available upon request.
