Are you an event organiser hoping to woo re-enactors out for the big day?

Here is how we aim to help.

Please post your call for re-enactors below, stating the following details clearly:

  • The name, date and location of your event;
  • How it relates to the War of 1812;
  • What carrots you have to lure re-enactors (i.e. reimbursement of travel costs, food, a special place to camp etc); and
  • And the real reason why re-enactors should add you to their event roster. Don't forget, you're facing some stiff competition and most groups have been booked in advance for over a year - give re-enactors a compelling reason to participate.

If you are a re-enactment group still interested in landing more bookings, please feel free to add your information with contact details below as well.

Each month, we'll feature the best requests for re-enactors in our monthly e-newsletter.

Athens Cornfest, August 18, 2012 in Athens, ON

The event is an annual Cornfest, no direct relation to the War of 1812 but we'd like to showcase the area's history thought this event.

We'd love to have a small group of re-enactors come to the festival in period dress.

If you are interested we'd love to hear from you and hear what it would take for us to have you attend our little festival.
