Gloves

I'm finding it a challenge to find good period gloves for men and women. Fortunately, I was able to pick up kid leather ladies gloves in Prescott, but I'd like to find more.

Butterick has patterns on sale, and I wondered if anything here might fit. Anyone with any insights?

On a practical note, I wonder how much sweat they'd absorb. Very gross, I know, but when dancing I find people's hands get quite moist. I love my leather gloves for coping with that issue, but wonder what other options I can find that might not be as hot. (Really, I wish Portalano had those leather gloves in about 5 colours! :))
