Cost:$2 per person
Join three reenactors and dressmakers for an information session on dressing the part in Regency Upper Canada:
- Mardi MacFarlane, Canadian Fencibles & Civilians in the Midst of Alarums
- Sharon Miller, The Seamstress Miller
- Alicia Wanless, The Alliance & The Spencerville Mill
This information session will set the stage for creating costumes from scratch, piecing together outfits from consignment finds, and renting clothes. Topics will include:
- Historic fabrics
- Clothing components for both men and women
- Patterns, including reviews of how they worked
- Show & Tell of existing costumes
Tea and coffee will be served.
