Event Description

In this War of 1812 Bicentennial first year observance, the Sackets Harbor Battlefield State Historic Site (NY) is pleased to host award-winning author Alan Taylor for his presentation set under a tent on the historic battlegrounds overlooking Black River Bay.

Prof. Taylor offers his perspective on Sackets Harbor’s role in the War of 1812 as it evolved along the northern frontier with Canada. The program is free to the public, and is supported by a grant from the New York Council for the Humanities, the Battlefield Alliance, and sponsors.
