Event Description

On Feb. 22, 1813, Lt. Col. Red George Macdonnell and the Glengarry Light Infantry Fencibles crossed the frozen St. Lawrence River to defeat their American rivals, the First U.S. Rifle Regiment.

The battle will begin at 1:30 p.m. on Saturday on Lighthouse Point, directly across the St. Lawrence River from the Prescott waterfront. Fort Wellington will set the battles in motion by firing an 18- pounder from the ramparts.

Fort Wellington will actually be firing a 24-pounder from the ramparts. (We do not have an 18-pounder).  Looking forward to it!
