Join The St. John River Society and your community in commemorating the historic march of New Brunswick’s 104th Regiment of Foot to join the war effort in Upper Canada. Kick off your morning with a public 5km snowshoe march. If you don’t have your own snowshoes, you can borrow some; many sizes will be available on a first-come, first-served basis. Challenge your family and your neighbours to get out and get active. Those who participate in the march will receive a certificate and an 1812 commemorative lapel pin. Then join your community leaders as they mark this historic occasion and cap off your day with a community lunch and some fun outdoor family activities.

Schedule of Events:

• 9:30 am – muster for the 5km snowshoe march at the Pavillion l’Estacade
• 10:00 am -11:30 am – 5km snowshoe march, everyone is welcome to join, whether on snowshoes or winter footwear
• 11:30 am – Dignitaries Ceremony at the Pavillion l’Estacade
• 12:00 pm – onwards – community events including a bonfire and skating
